The Junior ball spotters played their own “Open” at the back of the field, and very well done to Robbie Duffy who shot a net 62 to win that event.

Robbie and Kieran McCormick played with a visitor from Dollar Golf Club, who emailed the following to us on Monday.

“Dear Margaret

Just an email to follow up my call this morning to thank the club for its welcome and efforts during the Belhaven Open on Sat.

The starter and professional went well beyond the call of duty to enable me to play at the tail end of the competition by organising that, as a late entry, I joined two juniors.

Both, Kieran McCormick and Robbie Duffy, were model golfers and I left very impressed by the way they acted as ambassadors for the club – they were a credit to the people who have coached them and deserve recognition.

With sincere thanks to all concerned”
