After turning professional last month and comfortably qualifying for the Europro Tour, Ed Wood was sitting joint top of the leaderboard in the yourgolftravel.com European Championship after recording a 66, the lowest round of the tournament, on Tuesday.
After an opening day score of four-over, Ed bogeyed the first two holes of the second round today, and looked to be struggling to make the cut.
But he found his form and put together a superb string of
8 birdies at the 5th, 7th, 8th, 11th, 12th, 14th, 17th and 18th to storm to the top of the leaderboard with 1 round to go.
Round 3 did not go so well and Ed finished the tournament back in the pack in
26th place.
